ACT! for America - Space Coast Chapter

Our Agenda for the June 11, 2013 meeting will include:

    a) The usual pledge, mission, vision and "Code of Conduct."
    b) We will hear an update from the Chapter's American Laws for American Courts (ALAC) Team. This team's mission is to make sure we are fully prepared to support passage of ALAC in the 2013 Legislative Session.
     c) We will hear a report from our Textbook Committee regarding our efforts to address Islamic preferences given in textbooks being used in our Brevard County schools.
    d) We proudly announce our guest speaker for June:(The following Bio was provided by our guest speaker)

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Central Florida to present a forum on 11:am April 21,13 0n: “The Prophet Muhammad , Messenger of Peace, the Gateway to Understanding Islam”. This program will respond to allegations against one of history’s most peace-loving persons—Prophet Muhammad. This event is an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to learn about Prophet Muhammad from practicing American Muslims. Over the past several years, Prophet Muhammad’s character has viciously maligned on numerous occasions, including a most hateful video. This fourm will provide an educational and civil discourse as to why over 1 billion Muslims worldwide revere Prophet Muhammad, and will serve to build bridges of understanding. This will be a multi-media presentation including interactive question and answer session.:Dr.Wajeeh Bajwa Dr. Bajwa received his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 1981 and did post-doctoral work in Basel, Switzerland. He joined Hershey Medical Center, Penn in 1985. In 1987 he joined a biotechnology company, Strohtech Inc., in Detroit, MI. Dr. Bajwa relocated to Durham, North Carolina with this company in 1993. Dr. Bajwa was then hired by Medical Center, North Carolina, in 1998. He moved to Gainesville, Florida in 2008, now serving as Director of Regulatory Knowledge and Research Support Program, Clinical Translational Science Institute, University of Florida.The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community comprises three main auxiliary groups according to age and gender. One of these groups is for men over the age of 40. Dr. Bajwa is serving as the US National President for this group since 2006. Dr. Bajwa is also serving as the President of Orlando Chapter of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community since 2010. Orlando Chapter of this community covers Central and Northern Florida.Dr. Bajwa is married to Anisa B. Salam Bajwa and they have four children.
